Federal Tax Day - IRS FAQ Clarifies Filing and Payment Extension to July 15 Due to COVID-19,(Mar. 25, 2020)

The IRS has released frequently asked questions FAQs on the extension of the due date for filing income tax returns and payments to July 15, 2020 provided in Notice 2020-18, I.R.B. 2020-15. The FAQs clarify on filing applications for extensions after July 15, the due date for contributions to IRAs and HSAs, as well as other issues.
