Background and Experience
Jacob worked for two years in manufacturing specializing in inventory control and cash collection following college while working on his Masters.
In January 2018, he left the manufacturing position to pursue a career in professional umpiring. In 2018 he did not receive a position in Minor League baseball, but did get to work in the American Association of Independent Baseball. After the 2018 season in independent baseball he tried for a position in Minor League Baseball again and received a position for the 2019 season. In 2019 he worked in the Gulf Coast League of Minor League baseball. In the fall of 2019 he worked for a local oil supplier on small intermittent projects within the company. In 2020 Minor League Baseball did not operate and he again worked in the American Association of Independent Baseball. In the winter of 2020 he joined BatesCarter as a staff accountant.
Jacob also spent the spring and summer of 2021 as an umpire in the Low-A East League of Minor League baseball while working part-time as a staff accountant for BatesCarter. He joined BatesCarter as a full-time staff accountant in September 2021.

Jacob officiates high school football during the fall season and enjoys playing video games, basketball and volleyball. He also enjoys going to the movies.
